When prompted with a question, you have different results as well, depending on your answer. I've always loved the humor in this game, and the private action system which affects your endings. The story is interesting, characters and sidequests are fun and the musics are just amazing. The skill system is way better than in later star ocean games and there are so many different endings in this game. This is really great game to play, if you love the jrpgs. If this is your first time w star ocean 2, you definitely want to buy this game. I found it to be very interesting to find out things that were different from the ps version. It's not like they won't find anything interesting in this game. It's nice to have this game redone for the psp, even though imo the ps version WAS more to my liking, but it doesn't mean ps players shouldn't try this version out too. They've also fixed the Dream Bracelet glitch, pity. Also the name switching in towns, items etc is tad annoying to old schoolers. Rena's moon on her hair switch sides making it look like she has moon both sides of her head. Also the animators have been a bit lazy as in dialogues where you can see the character's picture, they just flip the same picture i.e. It's also nice to have one extra character added, even though s/he is pretty much piece of crap.
I do like the added animations which the ps version didn't have. I didn't like the new character arts and most character new voiceovers (I preferred the old ones I was used to).
I've played this game several times when it was first released for the ps1. Like JRPGs? You DEFINITELY don't want to miss out on this one! Built on the same engine that runs First Departure, the game's control scheme is also custom-designed for PSP.
